Analyzing Email Delivery Routes & Spam Scores #
Full email message headers contain technical routing data detailing every mail server that handled the message, SPF/DKIM verification results, timestamps, and SpamAssassin scores. Support teams frequently request full headers to diagnose delivery delays or false spam flags.
How to View Headers Across Popular Clients: #
- Webmail (Roundcube): Open the email, click the More (…) button in the toolbar, and select Show source.
- Gmail: Open the email, click the three dots menu next to the Reply button, and select Show original.
- Microsoft Outlook (Desktop): Double-click the message to open it in a separate window, go to File → Properties, and view Internet headers.
- Apple Mail (macOS): Select the message and press
Cmd + Shift + H(or View → Message → Raw Source).
