Free Migration Inclusions and Policies #
Our complimentary migration service covers the following scenarios:
- Timeframe: Complimentary migration requests can be submitted at any time within 60 days of your hosting service activation date.
- cPanel-to-cPanel Transfers: We migrate up to 200 cPanel accounts (including website files, MySQL databases, cron jobs, email accounts, and forwarders) free of charge.
- Non-cPanel Hosting Transfers: We migrate up to 10 non-cPanel websites (files and MySQL databases) free of charge.
- Email Data Transfers: We can transfer non-cPanel email accounts via Imapsync tool without losing existing inbox structures or message histories.
- Domain Name Transfers: The website migration service transfers hosting data. If you also wish to transfer your domain registration to Tarweig for unified management, follow our Domain Transfer Guide.
How the Migration Process Works #
- Ticket Creation: Once you submit your request via the Client Area, an automated high-priority ticket is created with our Migrations Department.
- Environment Analysis: A Tarweig migration engineer inspects your source hosting environment, checks server compatibility, and selects the optimal transfer method.
- Data Transfer & Restoration: Our team generates a comprehensive backup, transfers all assets over encrypted channels, and restores your content onto your Tarweig hosting account.
- Integrity Verification: We perform comprehensive database and permission audits, ensuring no files, scripts, or email messages are missing or corrupted.
- Preview & Testing: We configure internal staging endpoints so you can preview and verify your website before changing any public DNS settings.
- DNS Cutover: Once approved, you update your domain’s nameservers or A records. Because all data is already live on Tarweig, traffic shifts smoothly with zero service interruption.
How to Submit Your Migration Request #
To initiate your migration, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Tarweig Client Area.
- Navigate to the Support section and click Submit Ticket.
- Select the Migrations Department.
- Provide the required credentials for your current host:
- Source Control Panel URL (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, or custom dashboard).
- Source Username and Password.
- FTP or SSH access credentials (if available or required for large non-cPanel sites).
- The specific domains or websites you want migrated to Tarweig.
- Any specific notes regarding database requirements, PHP extensions, or scheduled maintenance hours.
- Click Submit to dispatch your request.
